Architect AIA – Bobbitt
The Architect of Commercial Design/Build projects role will join the Bobbitt A&E Design Team to design and build commercial spaces across the Carolinas. From concept through occupancy, the architect works closely with a full construction team to deliver on‑time, on‑budget, safe, and code‑compliant projects.

Responsibilities- Coordinate staff members regarding project planning and design.
- Consult and coordinate with external mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, site, and specialty consultants.
- Collaborate with construction personnel during construction, investigating and responding to field questions to expedite progress.
- Develop constructible, efficient, code‑compliant designs through programming, schematic, and design development for internal pricing and client review.
- Prepare clear and accurate construction documents for submittal.
- Collaborate on construction documents with internal design and construction teams and external subcontractors for best practices.
- Mature project files and document job evolution as required.
- Maintain working knowledge of construction practices and new technologies.
- Monitor project progress via the online Project Management system and on‑site meetings.
- Assist the team for close‑out of projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of design principles, practices, and tools.
- Proficiency in Revit and 3‑D visualization.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Excellent organizational, multi‑tasking, and communication skills.
- Creative and analytical thinking.
- Architecture license.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture from a NAAB accredited program.
- License or approaching completion of AXP encouraged.
- Access and navigate all construction sites in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Capacity to sit in extended meetings.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
