Our client, located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, is seeking a Civil Construction Estimator/Project Manager.
Essential Job Functions- Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site work evaluations
- Identify labor, material and time requirements required to perform work
- Quantify takeoffs and complete estimate preparation for water, sewer and storm drain installation a plus
- Subcontractor, supplier and client interactions
- Site and road work experience
- Knows how to estimate a job based on crew size and equipment needs, and knows productions.
- Ability to perform as project manager on grading and utility installation services
- Preparation of Request for Quotations and analysis of subcontract and material proposals
- Experience working with local and state governments a plus
- Experience working with grading and utility installation services
- Degree in Construction Engineering Management, Civil Engineering or other related engineering degree a plus
- Minimum 4 years heavy civil construction experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
