Assistant Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing and supervising the construction and delivery of small projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist a Project Manager on jobs over one million dollars.
• Responsible for contract preparation, on-site coordination, quality control, and contract management.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Review contracts and ensure project stays on target.
• Manage labor and materials.
• Order and track materials.
• Assist with documentation control and submitting RFIs.
• Interpret RFIs, changes to drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Develop submittal packages per contract specifications.
• Perform accurate takeoffs and establish budgets.
• Monitor and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Attend to daily field needs to maximize productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Drive to job sites, walk through construction facilities, lift plans and documents, handle prototypes.
• Require considerable computer work.
