BIM Technician

Summary

Our Cary, NC office is looking for a BIM Technician to join our growing team in the Cary, NC office. The BIM Technician will support the Structural Engineering team. The BIM Technician will generate structural construction documents for various projects and should have experience with creation/modification of drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.

• Work closely with Structural Engineers as well as other internal and external team members. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of Biotech/Life Science and Industrial market sectors, and projects include both existing building modifications and new construction.
• Create and modify drawings while coordinating with other discipline drawings and models.
• Participate in project model reviews and coordination sessions using Navisworks.
• Able to think outside the box & demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and clearly communicate information in engineering drawings.
• Work with other BIM/CAD team members to ensure coordination across disciplines.
• Work under the direction of senior engineers to develop layout drawings and details in Revit and AutoCAD.

• 4+ years’ experience with AutoCAD and Revit Structure required
• Must have detailing experience with building structures.
• Experience with an A/E firm or equivalent preferred but required
• Structural Design Focus or Experience
• Experience with clash coordination through Navisworks is an advantage
• Bluebeam experience is a plus
• Experience in design, good familiarity with design methods, terminology and approaches
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High adaptability to learning new software and technology.
