We are seeking a highly motivated individual to function as a Mid‑Level Mechanical Engineer in the design of mechanical systems supporting Nuclear Power Generation.

• Collaborate with design engineering execution teams across the US and abroad.
• Perform all aspects of mechanical system design engineering and analysis for assigned systems under general supervision.
• Acquire knowledge of Black & Veatch and industry standards and implement them in project development.
• Prepare moderately complex engineering deliverables, conduct research, and develop project design recommendations.

• Instrument and/or Service Air Systems experience.
• Demineralized water supply and make‑up systems experience.
• Service and potable water supply system experience.
• Natural, hydrogen, and nitrogen gas supply system experience.
• Closed‑cycle cooling water system experience.
• High‑pressure / intermediate pressure / low / auxiliary steam system experience.
• Feedwater and condensate systems experience.
• CO₂ supply system experience.
• Pipe sizing, pipe thickness, pump sizing, control valve sizing, heat exchanger sizing, atmospheric tank sizing calculations.
• P&t experience.
• Experience with air, gas, water, and steam systems design & engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal government projects.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screen, etc.).

• Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT) license.

• Typical office environment; may involve prolonged sitting and computer use.
• Physical tasks during site visits (crouching, grasping, standing/walking).
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days based on performance and assignments.
