Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer
Jacobs is looking for an entry level water/wastewater engineer to support a variety of drinking water and wastewater treatment and potable reuse engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of projects. You will evaluate and select the best treatment approach, design treatment systems and plant improvements, and work with treatment processes such as coagulation, rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation, secondary biological treatment, granular media filtration, biological filtration, membrane filtration, disinfection (ozone, UV, free chlorine, chloramine), post‑filter adsorption, and others.
You will also help improve the resiliency of our clients’ assets.

Responsibilities- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
- Write, review, and provide clear, concise input to planning or design reports.
- Work effectively with project teams that have diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
- Maintain and enhance cooperative partnerships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive health and safety in all aspects of project execution, including field, office, and personal environments.
- Deliver projects with a focus on data collection, organization, and reporting.
- Combine excellent technical skills with a strong acumen for project delivery, consulting, and client service.
- Bachelor of Science in civil, environmental engineering or related engineering field.
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles and prescribed methods.
- Positive attitude with excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills; willingness to work in a team environment.
- Ability to efficiently utilize time to execute assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and PDF editors (Blue Beam preferred).
- Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
- Desire for a mix of office and field work with the ability to successfully engage with the public, contractors, and client staff.
