We are seeking a midlevel Mechanical Engineer to join our team in North Carolina. This role focuses on the design, development, and improvement of mechanical components and systems for water control and plumbing products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design, product development, and cross‑functional collaboration.

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for water control systems and plumbing products.
• Conduct engineering analysis, including FEA, tolerance studies, and material selection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure product feasibility and performance.
• Support product lifecycle activities including prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works or Creo.
• Experience with FEA tools and engineering analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience in plumbing, water systems, or fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM and NSF.
• Experience with DFMEA and design for manufacturability.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

This position is onsite at our facility with occasional trips to our Sanford, NC location. The environment supports product development and engineering, focusing on R&D, prototyping, and engineering design. This position is based out of Cary, North Carolina. This is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $50.00/hr.
