Job description
Compensation- Bonus:
Up to a 12% year-end bonus (from annual salary), based off of individual and company KPI goals - 401K contributions: up to 6%; eligible for enrollment after 90 days
- Vacation: 15 days PTO, 7 holiday, 3 floating holiday, unlimited sick
- Healthcare: medical, dental and vision are covered at cost by the employer for the employee only; dependents would be covered by employee

We are recruiting for an experienced, high-performing Electrical Engineer with PCB design experience. The Senior Electrical Engineer will design, build and test next generation LCD backlights utilizing full array local dimming technology. This individual will also design hardware prototypes for display test boxes, AR / VR and IoT devices. Client is a quickly growing design services and LCD integration company, focused on creating innovative solutions with unrivaled optical performance.

- Utilize analog and digital skill sets to realize designs in high and low tech builds
- Design, build, verify and carry design through production using the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
- Design hardware containing FPGAs, MCUs and high speed serial interfaces (DP and MIPI)
- Coordinate design efforts locally and with colleagues in China
- Support NPI activities
- Mentor junior engineers
- Define architecture for various projects
- Ability to define project scope and timelines for bid formulation
- Evaluate business cases when selecting BOM components
- Select vendors for components
- Hardware bring-up
- FPGA programming
Work with multiple engineering disciplines (Hardware, Software, Mechanical) - Provide technical documentation to sales / marketing
- International travel is a possibility
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Expert in utilizing Altium Designer to create schematics and layouts
- Experience with high speed interfaces such as Display Port, MIPI and HDMI
- Must be able to work on-site at facility located in Cary, NC
