Provides professional service and expertise in a broad, overarching and unspecified area of financial matters, which may include planning, analysis and reporting accountabilities for organizational unit(s) assigned. in a range of functional areas of all Siemens organization.
As a member of the Financial Operations team, Financial Analyst V will have responsibility for financial oversight of key initiatives within the Service business. Due to the complex nature of these initiatives, the ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, demonstrated working knowledge of Revenue Recognition and MEA Accounting guidelines, excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills and the ability interface with all levels of the organization to achieve business results.
In addition, this role will lead and/or support other key financial and accounting initiatives as needed.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity an experienced professional that involves the application of analytical and problem solving skills and understanding of business and financial processes. The role requires the ability to provide clear, concise and sound financial guidance to multiple stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze monthly financial results, perform root cause analysis and interface with various stakeholders as needed to identify program and process issues and implement effective solutions.
Ensure accurate and timely supplemental reporting to our Global Headquarter for Service.
Develop and incorporate a holistic view of the overall program revenue recognition process to ensure adherence to MEA Accounting guidelines and accuracy of financial results.
- Provide program guidance and facilitate change management process as needed to support the relevant business processes.
- Drive improvements that simplify and streamline existing processes.
- Enhance internal controls documentation for the end to end process.
- Support the implementation of new ERP Platform SAP P58.
- Lead or support other projects as needed.
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA
- 8-10 years of progressive responsibility and experience in finance or accounting.
- Extensive working knowledge of revenue recognition accounting standards.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to take initiative and drive solutions to business issues and is able operate without well-established processes.
- Attention to detail, organized and desire for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Confident, self-starter with ability to lead and work with minimal direction.
- High energy level with a hands-on approach combined with the ability to provide leadership and structure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and define issues, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions to complex issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with SAP and Hyperion.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully on cross functional teams.
