About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing financial and accounting operations for a growing organization. This role offers exposure to financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and operational accounting across multiple locations and entities. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of experience and a desire to grow into leadership over time.

• Assist in maintaining financial records in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Assist with lease accounting under ASC 842 and coordinate audits.
• Prepare reports for banks, auditors, vendors, and insurance providers.

• Oversee AP, AR, and treasury functions for accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with multi-state taxation, including sales and use tax returns.
• Collaborate with external CPA firms for compliance.
• Support implementation and monitoring of internal controls.

• Assist with annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Prepare analyses for KPIs, capital expenditures, and operational performance.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and identify improvement opportunities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with operations.
• Provide guidance on expenses, budgets, and best practices.
• Assist with integrating acquisitions into the financial framework.
• Support process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience; multi-location experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

• Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar).
• Familiarity with Power
  
  BI for reporting is a plus.
