Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research
Location: Cary, NC
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $35 – $42/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
As the Pathology Supervisor, you will lead a team within a designated laboratory section, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. This role blends technical expertise with strong leadership to drive operational excellence in pathology services.
Key responsibilities include:- Supervising laboratory staff and overseeing daily operations within your area of responsibility
- Ensuring adequate staffing, quality diagnostic work, and adherence to established procedures
- Performing laboratory testing as needed to maintain technical proficiency
- Overseeing quality control programs, proficiency testing, and compliance with accrediting agencies
- Coordinating updates to laboratory procedures, evaluating and implementing new equipment and processes
- Providing technical consultation and resolving complex laboratory issues
- Leading employee training, education, and performance evaluations
- Managing inventory control, ordering supplies, and contributing to budget planning
- Promoting a collaborative, customer-focused team culture
- Delegating assignments to ensure timely and accurate patient testing
- Providing after-hours support as needed
- Required:
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency (NCA) certification
- Required:
Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology - Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
- Required:
Minimum of 5 years as a Clinical Medical Technologist - Preferred: 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
