Overview
The Exercise Specialist will apply clinical expertise and advanced knowledge in exercise science to the development of evaluation tools for the clinical practices of the department and its programs. Duties include review of patient's medical history, determination of appropriate testing protocols, and explanation of test to the patient. Will monitor and record heart rate, blood pressure, EKG response, and signs/symptoms associated with exercise.
Determine the endpoint of testing and ensure a diagnostic study. Data collection and summary are also required. Also, maintains professional practice standards, clinical competence, and daily operations of the department.
