As a Respiratory Therapist at Wake Med, you’ll play a vital role in delivering top‑tier respiratory care to patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors. You’ll work closely with physicians and the care team to:

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and advanced airway management
• Perform arterial punctures and blood gas analysis
• Conduct electrocardiograms and manage mechanical ventilation
• Evaluate therapy effectiveness and communicate with the healthcare team

• Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• A diverse patient population in a collaborative, supportive environment

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Certifications Required at Time of Hire:
  • Basic Life Support (Adult & Neonatal/Peds)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required

1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
