About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Molecular Technologist to oversee daily operations in our growing molecular diagnostics laboratory. This hands‑on leadership role combines technical and managerial responsibilities, including serving as both the Technical Supervisor and General Supervisor under CLIA.
The ideal candidate will manage sequencing operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and lead a small, high‑performing team in a mission‑driven environment focused on excellence and innovation.

. - Day Shift Schedule
- Oversee daily laboratory operations
, including workflow scheduling, sample management, and equipment maintenance. - Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, quality, and accountability.
- Manage and perform testing using Illumina Next Seq 550
Dx
, PCR/qPCR
, and Bead Array systems
. - Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Control (QC) programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to CLIA, CAP, and GLP regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with R&D and bioinformatics teams to optimize workflows, validate new assays
, and support test development. - Oversee inventory control
, vendor relations, and procurement of reagents and consumables. - Participate in internal audits, inspections, and proficiency testing activities.
- Support laboratory expansion and process improvements as our client scales operations.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences
, or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of laboratory experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Hands‑on experience with Illumina NGS platforms (Next Seq, MiSeq, or Nova Seq).
- Proficiency in PCR/qPCR and Bead Array workflows.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in oncogenomics or solid tumor diagnostics.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and data quality control.
- Prior experience in a high‑complexity CLIA laboratory
