Met Life Data Governance Office (MDGO) is part of the Data and Analytics Organization (DnA) within GTO. Its mission is to implement an enterprise‑wide model for the governance of data at Met Life to ensure consistency of usage and a high level of confidence in data‑driven analytics and decision‑making capabilities. MDGO partners with other data teams, technology, and business and functional partners to build and deploy next‑generation data capabilities for Met Life.

We are looking for a MDGO Data Governance Stakeholder Engagement Lead with a track record of supporting enterprise data management policies, procedures, tools, and integration projects. Success requires a balance of product‑centric technical expertise and deep knowledge of DG practices, including metadata management, metamodeling, lineage documentation, data stewardship, and technical DQ processes. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to interact with senior business and IT partners worldwide are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagements with leaders across Met Life, serving as the face of the MDGO, to ensure their success in implementing data governance and data quality policies, standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate and guide program data governance implementation.
  • Interact with business analysts and functional analysts, offering expertise regarding requirements and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the extended program team and provide expertise on proposals, including high‑level data solutions, estimates and implementation plans.
  • Provide support to program teams throughout the data lifecycle around data governance, ownership accountability, responsibility, data quality and data quality issue management.
  • Appetite to learn new technologies and be inclined to innovate.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in enterprise‑wide implementation of data governance, data quality or data management programs.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to explain complex data governance and quality content to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience as SME consulted for guidance on data governance and quality practices and tooling.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting data governance processes in a financial or insurance company setting.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, effectively driving collaboration and alignment across global teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese with proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong technical program management skills; experience working enterprise complex large‑scale, multi‑team programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, data sciences, computer science or related field.
  • Experience with Collibra, Ataccama, EDC, IDQ and other data management tools.
  • Certified in EDMC DCAM/CDMC or other prominent data governance framework.

Location expectation:
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 - $190,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
