Senior Server Engineer

Position Summary

Senior Server Engineer is dedicated to architecting and sustaining high-performance, low-maintenance, and highly available server platforms that support critical business operations. This role involves hands‑on management and optimization of the company’s server infrastructure, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Senior Server Engineer possesses demonstrated expertise in infrastructure lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, documentation, and executing infrastructure upgrades and decommissioning. Additionally, the role requires proven experience in hyper‑converged infrastructure (HCI) management, specifically with platforms such as Dell VxRail, Nutanix, and other leading solutions, ensuring high availability, seamless scalability, and optimal performance to support enterprise workloads and business continuity.

Key responsibilities include leading complex IT projects, performing comprehensive system analyses, and overseeing the full lifecycle of business‑critical IT systems. This role involves close collaboration with Group and Division leadership, subject matter experts, and third‑party vendors to guarantee solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and adhere to industry best practices.

• Systems and Infrastructure:Knowledgeable in client and server operating systems, networking hardware, protocols, and administration, with expertise in systems integration within highly secure, multi‑tiered IT environments.

• System Analysis:Conduct comprehensive system analyses to identify technology or process gaps and make informed recommendations for improvement.

• Technology Development and Implementation:Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new technologies and services. Communicate project status and closure updates to key stakeholders to ensure alignment.

• Project Leadership:Lead or co‑lead complex global digital and IT projects, ensuring timely delivery of results that align with organizational objectives. Offer strategic direction to project resources across multiple teams.

• Vendor Coordination:Serve as the primary liaison for communications and project expectations with third‑party IT and service vendors.

• Technical Guidance and Mentorship:Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their professional development and strengthen team capabilities.

• Team Empowerment:Foster an environment where team members feel empowered to provide feedback and share innovative ideas.

• Decision Communication:Clearly communicate decisions and formalize recommendations impacting your area of responsibility to managers, business partners, and key stakeholders.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent).
• 4+ years related IT experience.
• Experienced in managing Dell VxRail, Nutanix, and comparable hyper‑converged infrastructure platforms.
• Proficient in managing and optimizing virtual machine environments utilizing vSphere and VMware.
• Experienced in managing Microsoft Azure workloads and optimization.
• Experienced in using Service Now for ticket, change, problem management, and escalation.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 application suite and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability.
• Proven experience in leading IT projects and managing cross‑functional teams.
