Jr. Analyst About Keen

Keen Decision Systems is an AI-native Marketing OS that helps marketing and finance leaders connect marketing investment directly to P&L outcomes. Built on proprietary Bayesian regression and probabilistic modeling, Keen’s platform spans marketing mix modeling, media planning, and scenario optimization, and is moving toward a fully closed-loop agentic system that carries a decision from data to measurement to planning to execution. The methodology is grounded in a dataset covering 400+ brands and more than $42B in tracked media spend, giving Keen a view of marketing performance no single client or agency can see on its own.

Keen is different. As a Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Company and a Triangle Business Journal Top 10 Best Place to Work, we’re growing quickly. But our growth isn’t the only thing that differentiates us.

At Keen, we are proponents of a Conscious Culture. Conscious Culture is an environment built on purpose. A Conscious Culture means that time and effort have been invested into making sure that how our company operates is as important as our business outcomes. Because we work smarter Monday-Thursday, we’re able to offer all employees a three-day weekend.

About the role

As a Jr. Analyst, you’re a key enabler in supporting how our customers improve the ways they do Marketing and Media Planning through our powerful Bayesian modeling software called the Keen Platform. Working closely alongside Keen’s Account Directors, you are responsible for supporting the execution of their account strategy within a portfolio of named clients.

What you’ll do as a Jr. Analyst:
  • We’ll teach you how to use the core features of the Keen Platform and how they help clients measure marketing and make investment decisions.
  • Your regular work supporting the implementation and adoption of the Keen Platform will include:
    • Data Manipulation and Management Support
      • Aggregate, clean, and upload client data into the Keen Platform
      • Help prepare and validate data from client data sources
    • Model Quality Checks
      • The Keen Platform generates a model of the client’s business. You’ll review model inputs and outputs against our quality standards, including statistical fit, tactic ROIs, and data quality.
      • Flag potential issues to Analysts and Sr. Analysts for review.
    • Plan Optimization Support
      • Configure and run Optimized Marketing Plans based on direction from the Account Director and/or the client’s planning goals.
    • Reporting & Deck Support
      • Configure the Reporting features of the Keen Platform as directed.
      • Download PowerPoint exports of reports from the Keen Platform and help build initial slide drafts for the Account Director.
      • Attend (remotely) internal account meetings, and client meetings when needed, to learn how the client narrative develops.
    • Ongoing Support
      • Help troubleshoot data and model issues alongside senior team members.
      • Document recurring platform issues or ideas and share them with your team.
What characteristics do the best Analysts for Keen have?
  • You love business software. You love using it. You want to use it all day. (Because you will!)
  • You love Excel. You love data. You love looking at, organizing, and playing with data in Excel.
  • You love PowerPoint. You know how valuable it is to put together a good deck, and you love doing it.
  • You love to do good work, and it’s the only type of work you do.
  • You love to learn and are a self-starter for learning new things. (We’ll teach you all about Bayesian modeling – unless you teach yourself)
  • 0-2 years of experience in a combination of any of the following in academic or professional experience:
    • Marketing Analytics
    • SaaS Customer Success
    • Data Cleansing & Management
