Communications Manager

Responsibilities

• Support, deliver, and manage strategic engagements for Cisco’s EVP of Operations, including strategic planning and tracking, light event design and management, and message and briefing document development.
• Write, edit, and deliver high-quality content to serve various audiences and platforms, including presentations, talking points, messaging documents.
• Support and contribute to content development for top priority initiatives and executive-level audiences; develop and execute holistic communications plans across various platforms.
• Coordinate and program manage across various deliverables; for example, employee events, executive engagements and presentations.
• Juggle multiple priorities with a detail-oriented, proactive approach, ensuring timeliness, stakeholder management, and consistent deliverables.

• 10+ years of experience in a communications role
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to think strategically, work efficiently and meet deadlines with attention to detail
• Strong project management skills with the ability to balance concurrent projects
• Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills

• Strong copywriting and editing skills
• Experience project managing, coordinating, and implementing sophisticated communications plans
• Understand Cisco’s story, its technologies, services & solutions
• Knowledge of modern storytelling for driving engagement in a corporate setting
