Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Metrology Technician in Clayton, North Carolina (NC) to work for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. The Metrology Technician will play an integral role in the calibration and upkeep of laboratory instrumentation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities for the Metrology Technician- Participate in the calibration, troubleshooting and repair of laboratory equipment including temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency measuring equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation of metrology work in accordance with GDP/GMP standards as well as company SOPs
- Provide support to laboratory and manufacturing personnel
- Conducting in depth analysis of the performance, safety, and design of future products
- Adhere to all safety and environmental requirements while performing duties
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the metrology or repair of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Strong experience working within a GMP regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Experience using electronic calibration management systems such as SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, Pro Cal, MAXIMO, etc required
- A.S. in Engineering or related field preferred
- Salary Range is dependent upon experience
