About the Position
Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician.
Work Schedule & Pay- Days:
Sunday through Thursday - 5–8.5 hour shifts - Schedule:
Wednesday – Saturday - RVT Pay: $24.50–$47.05/hr
- This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.
- We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum.
- Examples:
- Mon – Fri: 6 pm to 8 am = $4.00 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8 am to 6 pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6 pm to 8 am = $5.50 Shift Differential

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
Responsibilities- Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
- Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
- Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
- Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
- Perform callbacks and refill medications.
- Client education, gathering histories, and communicate that to the clinician.
- Perform physical exam; accurately count heart rate, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- Understand normal vital parameters.
- Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
- Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
- Restraint patients during consults and during diagnostics.
