Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Education Facility Patrol in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in government and related industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned locations, remaining visible to deter incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This is a driving post, so you must operate a vehicle while performing duties. - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activities.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents as required.
- Work collaboratively with site staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security issues within the facility.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols during daily operations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Must be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required where permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
