Brief DescriptionYou will be responsible for delivering service and customer support during field visits. This role involves overseeing on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks. Additionally, the Roofing Foreman will diagnose errors or technical problems and determine suitable solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities- Perform service roofing work and other duties as assigned (including roof patching/repair of TPO, EPDM, metal roofing, roof inspections)
- Install pipe boots, ridge/hip caps, counter flashing, coping, fascia, gutters, miters, downspouts, roof curbs, and crickets
- Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
- Plan ahead and monitor needs daily to avoid running out of materials
- Ensure on‑site equipment is monitored and maintained
- Notify manager of any broken or defective equipment
- Prepare and submit daily job reports, field progress updates, technical questions, and timesheets
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with company policies
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Track time and materials through field operations software
- Communicate with manager daily on scheduling
- Supervise and train team members as needed
- Perform general commercial construction duties outside the roofing scope (e.g., control joints, concrete sealants, anchor bolts, wedge anchors)
- Participate in weekly meetings
- At least 2 years of commercial roofing experience
- Experience reading shop drawings and blueprints
- Valid driver’s license
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Proficient with hand and power tools, adhesives, sealants, caulking, or coating products
- Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
- Quick problem‑identification and efficient resolution skills
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Able to sit, stand, and kneel for prolonged periods in extreme weather conditions
- Experience pulling a trailer (preferred)
- 3–5 years of commercial roofing
- Bilingual (plus)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with lifts
- General carpentry skills
- General commercial construction skills
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in‑person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule, with occasional remote work acceptable.
Travel Requirements- Occasional travel to meetings and events, typically within a 150‑mile radius of the office
- Occasional overnight travel
- Ability to lift 50–90 lbs.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to see well (naturally or with correction)
