As a member of the Midtier Configuration team, you will work alongside Software Developers to test new releases, hotfixes, and security updates. You will identify process areas that need improvement and implement automation jobs where possible to enable us to work faster and more efficiently.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs in a continuous deployment pipeline.
• Create test cases, test data and execution of test cases for the business flows as required.
• Participate in all steps of the continuous development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and monitoring.
• Maintain an awareness of and research new technologies, trends, architectures, and implementation techniques as they relate to the delivery of applications, integrations, and data in CI/CD;
• Debug complex multi-tiered software applications; develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
• Identify risks, issues, potential bugs, or otherwise defective behavior in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure.
• Program in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or Perl.
• Develop automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, Git Lab, etc;
• Actively participate in design and code reviews to maintain an elite level of code quality.
• Be encouraged to participate in open source projects on behalf of SAS.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

• 5 years of experience writing software applications and/or testing software systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Proficient in automating tests related to complex business flows.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts including working in an agile environment.
• Prior experience programming in one or more of the following languages:
  Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Spock, HTML5 or SQL (with Python being highly preferred)
• Hands-on experience of testing Micro services, REST APIs, middle-tier, etc.
• Hands-on experience of developing and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of at least one RDBMS.
• Experience in Web GUI automation using Selenium or equivalent.
• Experience on Windows as well as UNIX.
• Ability to diagnose issues using system and application log files
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Understanding of Python and Test automation.
• Experience with setup and configuration of Apache projects like Web Server, Tomcat, Active
  
  MQ and Geode.
• Experience with TLS/SSL configuration for Web Server and/or Tomcat.
• Understanding of SSL certificates, trust stores and certificate generation.
• Experience with Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Gradle preferred.
• Manual test case/test scenario development & execution experience.
