Which team will you be working in?
You will be working in the Cloud Engineering and Business Experience (CEBE) team within the HCL Software group. The HCL Software CEBE team drives the cloud-native strategy for HCL Software. We innovate with new technologies and apply them to the HCL Software portfolio. The team is distributed across several locations, in India, Europe and the USA.
Position SummaryAs a Level 3 Support engineer, you will serve as an escalation point for issues in production, troubleshooting, performing diagnostics and root cause analysis, and implementing high-level solutions in the form of configuration updates to Kubernetes deployments or updates to backend microservices and APIs.
Required Qualifications- 3-5 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (Golang is preferred, Java, C#, etc.)
- Strong experience in API development with Golang, Java or other technologies
- Experience working with container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer engineering, or a related field
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven with personal leadership and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Experience in a Level 3 Support and/or development role troubleshooting and resolving customer issues
- Experience in an agile software development environment
- Experience communicating with stakeholders at various levels
- Experience using Jira, gitlab, and github is a plus
Job Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external customers of Marketplace in CEBE as well as the Operations (L1 team) to triage, debug and resolve issues reported in Marketplace production environments
- Provide Level 3 Support to internal and external customers (mainly HCL SW product teams) to investigate and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes deployments, helm chart updates, APIs and the Marketplace backend microservices
- Communicate with customers and the Operations team with urgency to address and resolve escalations in a timely manner
- Create timely and reliable documentation relevant to customer escalations, RCAs, runbooks, and for bug fixes or code improvements delivered
- Collaborate with development to triage escalations, provide customer feedback, and deliver code changes as needed
