Role Overview
Retirement & Income Solutions is looking for Full Stack Engineers to design, develop, and implement software solutions. The role requires experience with modern technologies such as Generative AI, cloud-native applications with high-scalability architecture, and Dev Sec Ops best practices. As an agile team member you will collaborate closely with the Scrum Lead, Product Owner, and ART Leadership to ensure your work aligns with business goals and objectives.
You will impact all parts of the system, fostering curiosity and iterating solutions to deliver best-in-class products to our customers. The role expects experience in software development, middleware and infrastructure considerations, and a stay abreast of leading-edge technologies. You will be a critical team member within an Agile Release Train.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement enterprise-grade web and backend solutions using Java and React
JS in modern, cloud-based applications - Develop and support solutions with Java on legacy platforms, modernizing when possible
- Analyze, design, and implement major features and components
- Deliver secure, enterprise-grade web and backend solutions with support of generative AI
- Ensure elevated code quality and security standards through Dev Sec Ops best practices
- Resolve production incidents and service requests
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, stakeholder demos, and PI planning events
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience developing applications in Java
- 2+ years of experience developing applications using a modern JavaScript framework (React
JS preferred) - 2+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs
- 1+ year of experience with SQL and relational databases
- 4+ years of experience in application design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 4 years of experience developing applications in Java
- 1+ year of experience with cloud-native applications deployed to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- 1+ year of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- 1+ year of experience with Dev Ops practices (CI/CD, release management, automation) using Azure Dev Ops
- 2+ years of experience with JUnit/Mockito or equivalent unit testing frameworks
- 1+ year of experience with Selenium-based functional testing frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with Git-based repositories (Git Hub, Bitbucket, Azure Repos)
- 1+ year of experience with modern Identity and Access Management and App Sec practices
- 1+ year of experience working in matrix organizations, offshore teams, and fast‑paced projects
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Azure tools and modern AI concepts (generative AI, machine learning, large language models, conversational AI)
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Candidate must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require Met Life sponsorship or support for an immigration-related employment benefit.
The expected salary range for this position is $79,675 - $112,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
