Abbott Nutrition Casa Grande, AZ is seeking and Industrial Engineer for our Operational Excellence team.
As a key member of the Operations
Excellence team, the Industrial Engineer will provide critical support to plant manufacturing operations through continuous improvement initiatives, structured problem solving, process modeling, and data analytics. This role is instrumental in driving operational efficiency and excellence by leading manufacturing lines on a sustained journey of improvement to meet and exceed both process and customer expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The Industrial
Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and deliver measurable, year-over-year improvements in productivity, quality, and cost. What You’ll Work On
Be the OpEx Lead of a production line(s) reliability team(s).
Facilitate cross functional Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and focused problem solving.
Execute continuous improvement initiatives/projects in support of site objectives.
Mentor/train key stakeholders in the use and practice of continuous improvement methodologies and tools. (Lean, value stream mapping, six-sigma, Kaizen).
Assess current processes and standard workflow and identify process improvement opportunities utilizing organizational, analytical, Lean, and six sigma problem-solving methodologies.
Facilitate the execution of various value stream mapping, Focus Problem Solving, and Kaizen events.
Act as a change agent by communicating changes to the employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow within the continuous improvement culture.
Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize safety, quality, efficiency, and overall site continuous improvement.
Solving manufacturing problems that have a variety of complex features and mitigating repeat events.
Support the organization’s capability in knowledge and understanding of metrics and measurements which impact the total performance of the plant.
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
