Job OverviewJoin our team as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our products. In this position you’ll apply advanced microbiological techniques to test raw ingredients, in‑process samples and finished products, while monitoring the environment to maintain compliance with FDA, GMP and industry standards. Responsibilities- Perform microbiological analysis of raw ingredients, in‑process samples, finished products and environmental monitoring using high‑quality scientific techniques.
- Collaborate with a small team of microbiologists, demonstrating strong attention to detail, clear communication and reliability.
- Prioritize tasks to deliver accurate results efficiently while maintaining compliance with FDA, GMP and regulatory standards for infant formula and nutritional products.
- Conduct product testing, environmental testing and raw ingredient testing.
- Complete documentation, troubleshoot issues and support project work.
- Prepare media and maintain general lab housekeeping standards.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 1 year of college‑level lab studies and mathematics, and 2 years of laboratory experience OR 4 years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for infant formula, nutritional products and quality control testing.
- Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device or hospital/medical laboratory settings.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field with relevant lab coursework and experience.
- Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour (base pay range $19.05 – $38.15 per hour; range may vary by location).
- Shift: 12‑hour Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Schedule:
Enjoy every other weekend off with a consistent 4‑week rotation.
- Week 1:
Wed & Thurs (12 hrs) - Week 2:
Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hrs) - Week 3:
Same as Week 1 - Week 4:
Same as Week 2
Initial training spans two weeks and is conducted on the day shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There may be additional training on day shift. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
