Logistics Specialist

Overview

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our supply chain team as a Logistics Specialist
2. This role is critical in ensuring the timely flow of materials and resolving part shortages that impact production. You will serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, working cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to drive resolution and maintain operational continuity.

• Expedite & Escalation Management:
  Lead and manage part shortage escalations across departments and suppliers. Coordinate expedited shipments and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize production impact. Serve as the escalation point for material delays, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner with procurement, logistics, production, and leadership teams to align on material priorities. Communicate status updates and recovery plans to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Material Flow & Inventory Oversight:
  Monitor inventory levels and open orders using SAP and other ERP tools. Track and report on material movement, delivery performance, and expedite metrics. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts related to material availability.
• Transportation & Logistics Coordination:
  Evaluate and execute transportation options (air, ground, courier) to meet critical timelines. Liaise with carriers and 3PLs to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or material planning.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable working across all levels of management.
