Start at $22.05/hr (days). Based in Casa Grande, AZ.
Hours:
7:00 am to 7:30 pm on a rotating 3‑2‑3 schedule.
Base pay range: $22.00/hr – $22.00/hr.
Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match) effective day one. Weekly pay starting at $22.05 per hour.
OverviewForklift Operators perform a combination of product handling and lift truck operating duties to stack, transport, and store work‑in‑process and finished goods. Supplies production lines with efficient flow of materials – knockdowns and dividers – and moves finished goods to warehouse.
Responsibilities- Follow all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check; report equipment malfunctions or damage to the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
- Review the daily production schedule with Shift Supervisor; bring materials to the production lines when needed and notify supervisor of any low inventory.
- Provide accurate information of unloaded materials as well as materials used or produced to warehouse personnel.
- Remove, store, and unitize production scrap bales; inform warehouse personnel when a full load is ready. Remove excess corrugated from mezzanine and empty baler as required.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and produced; report them in appropriate paperwork to warehouse personnel.
- Remove finished goods and other materials in hold to assigned location, store them stacked neatly and according to height, and verify product‑code tags.
- Participate in physical inventory taking.
- Keep each production line supplied with knock‑down cases, dividers, pallets; take full pallets to the warehouse for loading on trailers; return unused cases and dividers to proper locations.
- Assist in stock‑handler duties or load trailers as needed on limited production.
- Perform additional forklift duties such as bringing hot glue cases, color concentrate, cold glue totes, slip sheets, and gaylords to the lines; set up rework and units of product on hold for Q.C.; relieve stock handlers; load and unload corrugated trailers; isolate good from bad corrugated.
- Follow established forklift procedures and complete required safety and maintenance checklists.
- Follow procedures for damaged finished goods and raw materials; report them on line‑driver reports.
- Communicate shift totals and machine totals with supervisors and other operators regarding any changes or problems.
- Complete written documentation as required.
- Assist in relieving downstream teammates for breaks and lunches.
- Use forklift to move finished products to stretch wrap machines, stage them after wrapping, or relocate to the correct warehouse location.
- Maintain supplies of corrugated and other packaging supplies at each machine.
- Visually inspect completed pallets for quality and conformity to packaging instructions to ensure quality at the source.
- Support limited travel if required.
- Minimum of 1 year forklift experience preferred.
- Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
- Computer usage and typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service.
- Work independently and complete assignments within prescribed routines and standard practices.
- Communicate effectively, convey facts and information clearly.
- Collaborate well with others; proactively contribute to group objectives; volunteer to help others.
Compensation Statement:
The expected salary range for this position is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed‑upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
