Project Manager R&D

Project Manager – R&D (Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Italy SpA)
We are looking for a  Project Manager  with a software or systems background to join the R&D department in Bologna.

The role involves leading cross‑functional and international teams and managing R&D projects from concept to start of production, ensuring alignment with time, quality, scope, and cost targets in accordance with Toyota processes.

Qualifications / Requirements

Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent

2 years of experience in Project Management, software R&D environments is a plus

Experience with software development lifecycle (Agile or hybrid models)

Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, PRINCE2) are a plus

Proficient in using Git and Dev Ops, to maintain stable, collaborative, and efficient R&D codebases is a plus

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project

Organized, proactive, and structured mindset

Key Responsibilities

Lead R&D projects

Coordinate the work of R&D teams (software, electronic, mechanic) with other corporate functions throughout the project development process.

Plan, monitor, and report project activities and milestones

Ensure alignment with Toyota New Product Development processes

Support continuous improvement of project management practices
