Preschool Gymnastics Assistant

At Casper Gymnastics Center, we believe in the transformative power of gymnastics for young children. Our Preschool Gymnastics Assistant plays a pivotal role in shaping the experiences of our youngest learners, aged 15 months to 6 years, as they take their first steps into the world of movement, creativity, and character-building.

• Assist lead preschool coaches in teaching safe, age-appropriate gymnastics activities.
• Provide hands-on spotting and encouragement to help children feel confident and safe.
• Support transitions between activities to keep classes structured and engaging.
• Help set up and clean up preschool equipment, ensuring a safe training area.
• Maintain constant supervision of students while fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Model safe behaviors and reinforce safety guidelines with children.
• Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, focus, and teamwork.
• Assist with songs, games, and imaginative activities to keep preschoolers engaged.
• Adapt to children’s needs with patience and creativity.
• Greet families warmly and create a welcoming environment.
• Support lead coaches in communicating with parents about class updates or student progress.
• Work collaboratively with the coaching staff to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences.

• Passion for working with young children in a nurturing, patient, and energetic way.
• Experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, or related fields (preferred but not required).
• Background in gymnastics, dance, cheer, or physical activity (a plus, but not required — we will train).
• Ability to follow directions from lead coaches and work as part of a team.

• Must be able to bend, lift, and move equipment (up to 40 lbs).
• Ability to demonstrate basic movement skills and spot preschoolers safely.
• Comfortable being active, energetic, and moving quickly with children.
