ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
- Ensures internal control of the work unit or division.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret fiscal information; you may also carry out special studies and recommend fiscal policy improvements.
- Help track contract-related payments for timely processing and accurate record keeping, ensuring payments align with contract terms.
- Assist in the coordination and management of contract drafting, working with staff to determine contract needs.
- Support agency staff with the coordination of issuing Requests For Proposals (RFP), writing RFPs, and monitoring the Public Purchase website for related bid activity.
- Ensure statutory compliance by internal and external stakeholders.
PREFERENCES
A plus, but not required:
- Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with the Wyoming Online Financial System (WOLFS).
- Previous experience in contract and/or procurement is a bonus.
- Skills in interpersonal relations and computerized accounting systems.
- Ability to use critical thinking to identify solutions and draw conclusions.
- Ability to calculate, evaluate, and analyze financial data, and communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Highly detail-oriented and accurate, with the ability to actively learn and interpret information as it applies to the position, and the capacity to follow instructions
Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)
Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
OR
Education & Experience Substitution: 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
