  • Hiring Pay Ranges: $19.25 - $25.25 per hour
  • Loan Assistant I - $19.25 - $22.63 per hour
  • Loan Assistant II - $20.50 - $25.25 per hour
  • The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.
  • This position may be eligible to receive an additional $1.00 per hour if approved for the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.

Summary

Provides support to Lenders of the assigned department in loan preparation, processing, closing and maintenance; customer interface with regard to loan processing, closing and general customer service; support for the Retail Lending Team within the capacity of Loan Operations; performing daily operations duties as well as monthly reconciliation of accounts; and customer interface with regard to loan operations and general customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares loan requests and reviews required loan documents with close attention to detail.
  • Requests and coordinates loan documentation preparation.
  • Orders documentation, such as title policies, flood certifications, lien search, appraisals, insurance, payoff, participation certificate, etc. Alert Lenders to any concerns necessary to ensure security position.
  • Books and activates closed loans on bank systems.
  • Creates and maintains loan files for completeness. Audits loan files, maintains tickler‑tracking system to ensure materiality and accurate financial information for necessary supporting documentation is in the file. Requests updated information for expiring documentation.
  • Performs funds transfers between accounts, draws, wires, loan advances, process payments, etc.
  • Provides general customer service.
  • Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.
  • Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
  • Maintains confidentiality as defined by department standards.
  • Supports the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience Loan Assistant I
  • 1 year related banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or GED minimum is required.
  • Basic technical knowledge and understanding of loan administration functions.
  • Proficient in basic computer and technology skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite:
    Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
