Charge Nurse (Day & Night shift)
Peaks Healthcare Consulting is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to work at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center. The role involves delivering high‑quality care to residents, ensuring their health needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
Job SummaryAs Charge Nurse, you will oversee daily operations, maintain clinical standards, and serve as a mentor for nursing assistants and other staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct resident assessments at admission, during care, and when changes occur.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor for side effects, and document all administration.
- Provide direct nursing care: wound care, catheter care, IV therapy, vital sign monitoring, and other treatments, following infection control protocols.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and others; communicate updates to families.
- Educate residents and families on health needs, treatments, medication management, and lifestyle choices.
- Supervise and mentor CNAs and staff, ensuring adherence to care protocols and high standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, delivering necessary interventions and communicating with physicians and emergency personnel.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure in Wyoming.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage multiple patient needs efficiently.
- Compassionate, patient‑centered approach focused on promoting resident dignity and well‑being.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move patients as needed.
- Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to bend, reach, or stretch regularly.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to infectious materials and cleaning chemicals typical of healthcare settings.
