Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Compensation: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour. We offer a commission-based component for every transaction you process, with potential to earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.61 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

The typical working hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in most stores, with many stores closed on Sundays. Earned Wage Access is available to all employees on the second day of employment (withdraw up to 50% of wages earned, up to seven times in a payroll cycle).

You can earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate. Vacation and sick time, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits are described below.

• Vacation: one week of paid vacation after six months of full-time service; additional vacation after one year; 2 weeks after anniversary dates thereafter (adjusted for state/local requirements). 120 hours after five years.
• Sick/PERSONAL: 8 hours after 6 months, 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The position greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, and thrives on customer interaction and problem resolution. Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and well-displayed.
• Process sales and loan transactions in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, pushing, pulling, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience preferred.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
