Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Overview
MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located in the Casper, WY area reporting to the Service Manager at the Denver, CO branch for MGX Equipment Services.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
- Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
- Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
- Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
- Experience with various mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes;
Grove GMK European Cranes;
Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes;
National Boom Trucks preferred. - Must be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required.
- Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Pay range between $25.00 - $45.00 per hour for non-bargaining employees. Pay is bi-weekly with a 14-day pay period.
- A customized training plan and career path is provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth opportunities.
- Sign-on bonus: $4,500 payable after 90 days of continuous service;
Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may be available to those who qualify. - Benefits and 401(k) beginning day one of employment.
- Perform job functions in a safe manner.
- Wear PPE as required by company policy.
- Follow established safety procedures and rules.
- Participate in safety training and demonstrate competency.
- Report safety issues to management or address them as appropriate.
This is a full-time position with typical hours 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions. The physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures and various conditions, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
