Health and Safety Coordinator Part Time

Position: Health and Safety Coordinator (Permanent, Part Time)
Location: North West Leicestershire

Health and Safety Coordinator, £35K - £40K pro rata, commutable from Ashby, Coalville, Leicester, Loughborough.

* Are you a proactive Health and Safety Coordinator / Health and Safety Officer / H&S Officer / Health and Safety Advisor that will enjoy coordinating health and safety across a growing engineering SME?

* £35K - £40K pro rata salary guide + benefits including 25 days holiday & company pension.

* Part time role, approx.hours per week with flexibility on working days (4 or 5 days) and working hours.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety professional who will enjoy working in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Your background as a Health and Safety Coordinator / H&S Officer:

* You will have previously worked in a Health & Safety or HSE role, ideally within an engineering, industrial, or manufacturing setting.

* You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).

* You are an effective communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

* You enjoy working both independently and alongside diverse teams to drive a positive safety culture.

Health and Safety Coordinator / H&S Officer Responsibilities:

* Coordinating Health & Safety compliance across multiple local sites.

* Promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring all activities meet legal and company standards.

* Carrying out risk assessments, COSHH reviews, audits, and incident investigations.

* Delivering internal safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.

* Maintaining and improving H&S systems and records.

* Providing practical advice and support to colleagues at every level of the organisation.

This Health and Safety Coordinator job is commutable from Coalville, Ashby, Swadlincote, Shepshed, Burton upon Trent, Kegworth, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Castle Donington, Long Eaton, Keyworth, Market Bosworth, and surrounding areas.
