Academy IT Lead

The Academy IT Lead sits within Watergrove Trust's IT department and leads IT support for one academy, with joint responsibility for one or more primary schools. The work covers day-to-day troubleshooting, desktop and hardware support, installing, configuring and maintaining software, hardware and infrastructure, ensuring data security, and delivering larger projects. The post is based mainly at a trust secondary school, requires a driving licence and own vehicle, and offers funded apprenticeships.

Visa sponsorship is not available, and a full enhanced DBS check is required.

• Provide effective support, installation, configuration and maintenance of software, hardware and infrastructure
• Lead IT support provision for one academy
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and desktop and hardware support
• Ensure data security
• Share joint responsibility for supporting one or more primary schools
• Deliver larger IT projects
• Coach users and encourage them to try new technologies and improve working routines through IT
• Work at any Watergrove Trust location when required
