People Solutions  are currently recruiting for an  HGV Class 1 Driver  to join our well-established client based at  East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent position. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an  LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver  or  Articulated Lorry Driver .
Rates of Pay:
£17.08 per hour – 06:00 - 18:00
£21.35 per hour – 18:00 - 06:00
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
Start times between 14:00 and 16:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an  HGV Class 1 Driver  are:
Safely operating Category C+E vehicles completing three to five trunk runs per day
Operating curtain-sider trailers and securing loads correctly, including awkward loads
Making timely deliveries to various destinations
Communicating effectively with the transport team
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and working time directives

Skills:

To be successful as an  HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
A valid UK Category CE Licence
A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
A minimum of six months continuous Class 1 driving experience
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
No major endorsement codes
Excellent communication and time management skills
A professional and reliable attitude
Training:
Driving assessment required prior to start
Three-day paid company induction programme
Full industry-related training and ongoing support
