About the OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team part time. This role is vital to our mission, ensuring accurate financial management that supports our ability to serve families during critical moments in their lives. This position is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a desire to support meaningful work through sound financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain financial records
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Maintain general ledger
- Prepare month‑end journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Annual audit preparation
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management software (CRM)
- Associate's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience in a related role
- Experience with nonprofit accounting and fund accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Xero, or similar)
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes including federal, state, and unemployment tax filing requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word
- Alignment with the mission and values of Hope's Promise
- Experience with Donor Perfect or similar CRM software preferred
