A Deputy District Attorney is responsible for a range of legal, docket management, and supervisory duties related to the intake and prosecution of felony offenses within the Judicial District. This role includes reviewing, preparing, and prosecuting criminal cases, providing legal counsel to law enforcement agencies, and conducting related legal research and writing.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from law school as provided under Rule 205.1 of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure.

  • Attainment of an overall performance rating of "meets standard" or above as a county court attorney.
  • Attainment of a rating of "meets standard" or above in criteria established for promotion to district court.
Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
