Come join the Outback family as a Line Cook, where you will be passionately preparing, portioning, and cooking food items to Outback’s quality specifications. As a Cook, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift. You will also be preparing food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe specifications. As a Line Cook, you’ll help to provide each customer with an AUS-SOME dining experience through your passion and commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the preparation of food items. Our diverse menu requires speed and accuracy, and you should take pride in each item you prepare.
• Work in a well-designed kitchen with large work areas. Positions include Salad, Fry, Dessert, Sauté, Grill, Make Up, and Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Maintain equipment and cleanliness of your surroundings.
• Work as part of a team to meet standards in food preparation and delivery.
• Ensure safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation during your shift.
• Prepare food using proper safety equipment, tools, and recipes, following management’s guidance.
• Practice food safety and sanitation, restock the kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.; capable of working in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential duties.
• Vision abilities including distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
