We deliver complex projects across sectors including health, education, defence, justice, water, commercial and civic estate. Engineering plays a critical role in ensuring our projects are safe, buildable, efficient and delivered to the highest standards.
As an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll support engineering and project teams in the delivery of construction and infrastructure works. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across live projects while developing the technical skills and knowledge needed for a long‑term career in engineering within construction.

You will study towards a Construction Site Supervision Level 4 Apprenticeship, typically achieving a HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
With the support of experienced engineers and project teams, you’ll:
- Support engineering activities across construction and infrastructure projects
- Assist with site engineering tasks such as setting out, surveys, inspections and quality checks
- Help interpret drawings, specifications and technical information
- Support coordination between engineering, site and design teams
- Assist with monitoring progress and resolving technical queries
- Learn how engineering standards, quality and health & safety requirements are applied on site
- Support preparation of technical reports, records and as‑built information
- Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams to support efficient delivery
- Develop an understanding of how engineering supports safe, sustainable and buildable solutions
Why this role?
This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation in construction and infrastructure engineering, combining practical project experience with a recognised technical qualification. On completion, you’ll be well placed to progress into a Level 6 Construction Site Management.
