Accounts Apprentice

Overview

Accounts Apprentice in a small finance team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to start a career in finance and take their first step on the ladder.

The role involves working with the Management Accountant and Finance Controller in various areas of transactional finance and provides a solid introduction to the world of finance.

The role is office-based for four days per week with one day on college duties where you will undertake AAT qualifications provided by the business to enhance your knowledge and practical office work with the Management Accountant and Finance Controller.

• Processing of purchase invoices
• Maintenance of purchase ledger
• Managing relationships with suppliers
• Issuing accounts receivable invoices to customers
• Maintenance of sales ledger
• Credit control in relation to customer payments
• Any other transactional finance duties as requested by the team

• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance
• Good academic background
• Confident personality with a drive to develop
• Naturally inquisitive with a can-do attitude
