To manage and execute international logistics operations, ensuring the accurate scheduling, coordination, and delivery of customer orders in line with service expectations and company standards. Act as a key liaison between 3PL warehouses, freight providers, internal stakeholders, and key customers across the UK, supporting EMEA, and other growing markets. Support the optimisation of logistics performance, and cost-efficiency while maintaining full compliance with import/export regulations and contributing to broader operational goals.

Role

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations across multiple regions, working with internal teams, customers, vendors, and transport providers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
  • Regularly report on key logistics activities to support transparency and budget optimisation.
  • Use SAP to manage orders effectively, including creating invoices, generating packing lists, releasing sales orders, and pre-alerting customers with delivery details.
  • Apply logistics best practices to improve service and efficiency, supporting internal SOPs and company objectives.
  • Monitor and coordinate shipments through CMS 3PL logistics hubs, ensuring on-time and in-full deliveries and proactively addressing any service issues or audit findings.
  • Manage inbound and outbound customs clearance processes, ensuring accurate documentation, tariff classifications, and timely customs submissions in collaboration with brokers and freight partners.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve vendor compliance, ensuring timely shipments, accurate documentation, and adherence to shipping and packaging requirements.
  • Plan logistics activities for major retail customers in line with contractual SLAs, booking requirements, and delivery expectations to ensure service reliability.
  • Stay informed on freight forwarder capabilities and the current shipping market to recommend optimal solutions for the business.
  • Identify and implement effective solutions to logistics challenges while controlling costs.
  • Maintain SAP purchase order ETAs using ShipNT dates for UK and EMEA distribution hubs.
  • Optimise freight routes to balance delivery expectations with cost efficiency.
  • Select and coordinate with appropriate freight carriers to consolidate shipments and improve logistics efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations by collaborating with logistics partners and providing accurate documentation and clearance instructions.
  • Manage delivery issues, including damage claims, short shipments, and over shipments.
  • Coordinate volume planning with vendor managers, sales teams, customer hubs, carriers, and distribution partners.
  • Provide essential logistics admin support to warehouse operations (e.g., labels, documents, shipment paperwork).
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimisation efforts.
  • Understand and support the safe movement of Dangerous Goods within the UK and internationally.

Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Strong logistics and supply chain experience
  • Working knowledge of import/export regulations and freight documentation.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, including goods receipt, picking, packing, and despatch.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, WMS, and SAP systems.
  • Experience with writing or following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logistics data and deliver insights.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Financial awareness and understanding of logistics cost impacts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
