Venatu Automotive are recruiting a permanent Class 1 Driver (C+E) on behalf of our client, with full support provided by Sally Maxwell throughout the recruitment process through to offer stage.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of refrigerated trucks and cold storage containers to customer sites, depots, warehouses, and industrial locations. This is a reactive transport environment, requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a strong focus on customer service and safety.

You will use modern digital systems to complete all delivery and collection records, ensuring accurate tracking, POD completion, and real-time communication.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Vans, Class 2 (Cat

C), and Class 1 (Cat C+E) vehicles as required
Collect and deliver refrigerated rental equipment to customer locations
Complete electronic PODs using company mobile devices (signatures, photos, tracking)
Carry out vehicle checks, defect reporting, and pre-delivery/collection inspections
Ensure all equipment is clean, roadworthy, and presented to company standards
Secure loads in compliance with transport and health & safety regulations
Communicate effectively with customers and transport planners regarding schedules and site access
Adapt to changing workloads in a fast-paced, reactive environment
Maintain full compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and WTD regulations
