Support construction crews with material handling and site preparation across Castlegar, Nelson, and Trail. This full-time, permanent position includes physical site work.
RWC seeks a Labourer for Central Kootenays projects, supporting tradespeople with construction tasks and cleanup. You will load materials, perform demolition, drilling, and surface preparation, while following safety protocols and wearing PPE. The position suits candidates with construction or labour-intensive experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Load, unload, and move construction materials
- Perform demolition, drilling, and surface preparation
- Remove debris and manage waste disposal
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- One to two years construction experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand extensively
- Strong work ethic and accurate instruction-following
- Good vision and ability to work at heights
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
