Overview
Greenwood and Moore is a licensed Civil Engineering, land surveying, Design, and land use planning Firm. They will design the grading and elevation for medium size subdivisions or commercial buildings. They have about 11 employees right now and they are trying to double within the next few years.
They have a large backlog of work right now that’s keeping them busy in all departments, but with them being so busy they haven’t been able to train their current employees to where they want to be. If they want to continue to grow, they will need a senior civil engineer to take over some of the workload that they have been having.
Responsibilities- Work directly with the project manager and the President of the firm.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design exterior path‑of‑travel, frontage improvements, grading & drainage plans, pavement repair assessment plans, record drawings, site improvement plans, utility plans, topographic surveys, residential and commercial land development, tentative maps, etc.
- Create and store drawings electronically.
- A California Private Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 5+ years independently solving complex engineering problems within land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Experience preparing construction documents for residential and commercial subdivisions and improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, familiarity with construction standards and terminology.
- Experience of independent civil design in grading & drainage, utilities, hydrology, site design in residential and commercial/industrial projects.
- 5 years AutoCAD Civil 3D design experience creating surfaces, profiles, cross sections, and corridor modeling.
- Current California Civil PE license (preferred but not required).
- Communication with local municipalities, consultants and clients.

Pay and BenefitsPay range: $70,000 – $140,000 per year. 401(k), medical, dental, vision.
