Job Details:

• Work in Neuro Stepdown unit with patient ratios between 1:3-5

• Step Down patients maintained at 1:3 ratio and Telemetry patients at 1:4 ratio

• Every other weekend requirement

• On-call as needed

• 12 hours of orientation required

• 2 years minimum experience in Stepdown or Telemetry unit required

• 3 years of experience preferred

• Travel experience preferred

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal)

• Epic charting system experience required

• Community hospital experience required

• LTAC and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with stroke and other neuro-related diagnoses

• Skills include managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, craniotomy care, CVA management, tracheostomy care, and various other acute care procedures

• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

• 50-mile travel requirement applies

• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 1-5 hours)

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed neuro stepdown unit with a daily census of 29 patients. The facility specializes in stroke care and other neurological conditions, providing comprehensive acute care services.
