Position Overview

The Chief Engineer at Live Happy, LLC is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of engineering activities within an organization. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes. The Chief Engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, set strategic goals, and ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the overall business objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to define the long‑term vision and goals for the engineering department.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Recruit, train, and mentor engineering staff, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within budget and timeline constraints. Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Drive innovation within the engineering department, promoting the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other departments, such as product development, research and development, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects. Implement effective risk management strategies to ensure project success.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Help develop and manage the engineering department budget. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Help implement and monitor quality assurance processes to deliver high‑quality products or services. Help establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications. Collaborate with regulatory affairs to address compliance issues.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on engineering activities, project status, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in plant operation, CMMS and BMS.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align engineering activities with overall business objectives.
